Flow dividers and combiners

Flow dividers and combiners
Flow dividers and flow combiners operate automatically. They are designed for use with hydraulic fluids. They divide and combine a flow whose total velocity can vary up to 4 sub-flows. When the flow passes through the valve in the opposite direction, the flows merge into a single flow (add up). The splitting and merging functions are largely independent of the pressures of the split flows and the viscosity of the fluid. For the valve to work properly, a continuous flow is required on all ports. For example, if one drive can no longer move, the second partial flow will be limited. If the actuators operated by the flow divider operate at different pressures, then the pressure of the total flow entering the valve will correspond to the higher of the two actuator pressures. Large pressure differences can lead to significant heat generation, which must be taken into account when designing the system.
